Developer apartment handover checklist

Accepting a new apartment is a critical step. Any defect not recorded in the handover protocol becomes harder to enforce later.

Before handover

  • purchase agreement and floor plan,
  • measuring tape, flashlight, camera,
  • previous inspection notes.

What to inspect

  • walls, floors and ceilings,
  • windows and doors,
  • plumbing and electrical points,
  • meter readings (water, electricity, gas),
  • ventilation and heating.

How to document defects

Each issue should include location, description, photo and expected fix date. Do not sign “without remarks” if issues are visible.

Summary

A structured handover protects your budget and reduces disputes with the developer.
